Frequently Asked Questions

Is it too late to join a committee?

It's not too late! The kick off for this planning process is December 6th. If you have questions you can contact either, Chris Silver at 647-3089 or by email at csilver@mancheserct.gov or Mary Roche-Cronin at 647-3091 or at mroche@manchesterct.gov. If you know which committee on which you would like to serve please download the application (adult application link) (youth application link) and send it to the address on that application.

Are there ways that I can help without being on a committee?

We are still looking for volunteers to help with the website, to serve as staff to a committee, to do research, or to provide transportation. If you are a college student we have a few internships that require a 10-15 hour a week commitment. To volunteer please contact Chris Silver at 647-3089 or by email at csilver@mancheserct.gov or Mary Roche-Cronin at 647-3091 or at mroche@manchesterct.gov.

Can I get someone to present to my group, class, department, etc?

Schedule permitting we would love to speak to your group. The consultant, Richard Goll is in town every month and he is always willing to meet with a group interested in learning more about the plan or thriving. Chris Silver or Mary Roche Cronin can also make presentations when the consultant is not in town. To schedule a presentation please contact Chris Silver at 647-3089 or by email at csilver@mancheserct.gov or Mary Roche-Cronin at 647-3091 or at mroche@manchesterct.gov.

When is the plan going to be completed?

The target date for presenting the plan to the Manchester Board of Directors o is at the beginning of July 2009. While this time is not set in stone we are anticipating that the planning process and the writing of the plan will be completed in time to meet this deadline.
